Here's another art project I had just made lately which are the 6 emperors of the 22-year-anarchy period of Byzantine history reimagined and recreated based on the images from their coins. Art by Powee Celdran

The 6 Byzantine emperors from 695-717 in which only 1 out of the 6 comes from a dynasty are:
1) Leontios (top-left), r. 695-698, overthrew Justinian II, lost Carthage and was overthrown.
2) Tiberius III Apsimar (top-middle), r. 698-705, overthrew Leontios, beaten and overthrown by Justinian II, both he and Leontios got their noses cut off and were executed in 706.
3) Justinian II (top-right), r. 705-711 (2nd reign), returned to power after 10 years despite his nose being cut off, wore a golden nose👃 replica, ruled for revenge, overthrown and beheaded in 711.
4) Philippikos Bardanes (bottom-left), r. 711-713, did not last long, overthrown by the army of the Opsikion Theme, blinded and exiled.
4) Anastasius II (bottom-middle), r. 713-715, originally a secretary, made emperor by the army, army turned on him, banished to a monastery, tried to take back the throne in 719 but failed and was executed.
6) Theodosius III (bottom-right), r. 715-717, originally a random tax official, named emperor by the army that overthrew Anastasius II, unwilling to be emperor, happily surrendered i 717 to general Konon who became Emperor Leo III ending the 22-year-anarchy period.
